Chevening Alumni Association Nepal (CAAN) is a professional network of scholars who studied in UK Universities on Chevening Scholarships or fellowships. Chevening is the UK government’s international awards scheme aimed at developing global leaders. There are over hundred Nepali Chevening scholars and fellows from various disciplines currently working in the country and abroad.
Members of the Chevening alumni of Nepal have expertise in the disciplines such as gender and governance, public administration and public policy, human rights, climate change, energy, international relation and peace studies, agriculture, environment and development that can be put to good use for the socioeconomic development of the country.
HISTORY: Chevening Alumni Association Nepal (CAAN) was started in 2008 in the leadership of Indu Tuladhar, founding President with an objective to connect and network the Chevening scholars and Fellows.
